After nearly a decade in his previous role Keith Hight had no plans for a major career transition. He accomplished many goals, built a career he was proud of, and figured that when he eventually left it would be for retirement.
“I don’t want to work for anybody else. I’m happy here,” he remembers thinking when referring to Textron Aviation. “I love this department. I’ve got a lot invested. I love these people. I’m not interested in doing anything different.”

Early Career
In December, Textron participated in Junior Achievement RI’s JA Inspire, an in-person career exploration fair for 5,600+ 8th grade students to learn about different educational pathways, career opportunities and skills that will support their futures. 30+ volunteers including finance professionals, IT analysts, HR generalists, legal specialists, and executive assistants, represented the various functions from our world headquarters in Providence, RI. This was a great opportunity to show up in our community and educate students about careers in manufacturing, STEM and business. Let’s hear from some of our volunteers about the event!
